The Manna House |
|
This is the vision of the Manna House, a Christian centre run by volunteers from all church denominations in the Barkingside area. It means that Christians are present right in the middle of Barkingside. The Manna House consists of a bright and airy resource room with Christian books and Fairtrade foods for sale, and a Prayer Room for quiet meditation and counselling. Visitors can come in for companionship and a listening ear and enjoy a drink and biscuit. There is also a prayer request board where visitors can raise any matters which they would like to be prayed for by the Manna House volunteers. The Manna House remains “an Oasis on the High Street.” The Manna House is open from 10am to 12 noon on Mondays to Thursdays, 2pm to 4pm on Fridays and 11am to 3pm on Saturdays.
